The Crime Watch program enables citizens and business owners to assist police in recognizing suspicious people and vehicles to help reduce crime within the community.

Miami Springs is one of the safest cities in Miami-Dade County. However, crimes against people and property can be reduced even more by participating in the Citizen’s Crime Watch program.

Residents and business owners are encouraged to become part of this crime-reducing program by filling out an on-line application and returning it to the Community Policing Office.

With guidance and participation of Miami Springs Police Officers, Crime Watch meetings will be held at homes and businesses to share information. Officers will explain the program and inform members on how to identify suspicious people and activities in their area. By using that knowledge, citizens can aide police in stopping criminals from committing crimes, whether misdemeanors or felonies.

Citizen’s Crime Watch has proven to be a factor in reducing crime nationwide. The Miami Springs Police Department encourages everyone to participate in stopping crime in their neighborhood and city.

Click on FORMS, fill out an application and become a member of Crime Watch.
